Night walk

Here is a picture of my lemongrass. You can see it behind the birdbath.

We ran down the street tonight and I stopped in front of a place to look through the security screen door. It was after dark (about 6.45 pm). Lynettea was gazing into space as usual when she heard someone from the house. It was one of her elderly neighbours who had spotted her from the hallway. They thought something bad had happened to her and then they couldn't find the door key of the security screen door. They couldn't see me down on the street as they have a solid fence.

I didn't want to stay, but Lynettea felt she had to reassure them that everything was alright, I was just taking her for her usual walk at night. Lynettea's friend Gloria said she didn't think it was a good idea to be out after dark. They probably don't realize that Lynettea has me to defend us. Then they said their stove had suddenly seized up and they were trying to investigate what had gone wrong while they were trying to cook dinner.

Thank goodness I don't have to rely on a stove to cook my dinner. I get too hungry.

Your garden is so pretty. I like the birdbath too. My Mommie never uses the stove. Everything she cooks can be made in the microwave!

hello daisy! Lynettea uses the microwave too, but she does use the stove. She stews quinces from the tree you can see leaning over the birdbath. I just made a guestbook I got at Juniors blog. I hope you will put on your picture and where you live.

Hi there and thanks for the comment! Luckily, this jacket fits perfectly and isn't too constrictng - the last one the human bought me (the pink one) was a size too small and didn't do up, that one had to go to Mao!

xx
That lemongrass looks great! Your garden is lovely. :) Does the lemograss taste good?

Hello Diamond,
Amazing to find such a beautyful grey cat in the web. Because we are also grey cats located in Hanover, Germany. We would like to see more of your life in Australia.

I'm sure you're a vewy good defender for Lynettea. Too bad your neighbours don't know that!

p.s lemongrass is very flavourful. You chew on the young sprouting pieces for a full and tender flavour.

Hello Diamond,
yes we are russians too. But Silke & Wolfgang named us only "grey cats". I'm a little bit more russian than Maus, because she likes to life outside. She behaves as a normal street cat and not as a race-cat. She's hunting birds and mice and fights with the other cats in the garden. I'am really interested what you wonderful russian blue will show about your life on this blog.

Hello Bombay! Lemongrass tastes like lemons. Fresh tips taste nice to kitties. Humans use it in cooking, especially in Asian cooking. You can also use the leaves for making lemongrass tea.
I am not sure where you live, but it likes a warm climate. It doesn't grow as much here in the winter, but when it gets warm again the new leaves shoot up.
Thanks for visiting my blog.
