The origin of domestic cats

Lynettea showed me this, dear Kitties. Some of the more intellectual Kitties will be interested in our history. For more information you can have a look at the article in the link below.
'Cat fanciers have long known that their feline friends have wild origins.
Now scientists have identified the
house cat's maternal ancestors and traced them back to the Fertile Crescent.

Of course cats are special that's why I love them so much ! You are a very beautiful cat, I haven't met you yet ! I write for my cats, they are to lazy to blog, so I am their secretary and report what they are doing (or not doing) Thanks for your comment on my cat blog. Rosie already settled in completely. Arthur the white cat wants to play with her, but she is a little to small. Lisa doesn't bother as long as she can eat in peace, Kim is outside all the time anyway only Pookie suffers, she is really jalous, but it gets better everyday.

We were very very smart to domesticate ourselves!

That's a very interesting article, Diamond. Thanks for the link. I have long suspected that cats domesticated themselves.
We were going to post about that scientific report and a chat that the Washington Post's online edition had on Friday, but we forgot. No one domesticated us cats; we domesticated ourselves. Of course, we already knew that, but humans have to have scientific "proof."
