Too hot?

We have had a heatwave for days. It is supposed to be 40C today. I am not tall enough to read the thermometer on the wall, so I don't know if it is really that hot. I like the heat on my furs and stay outside, but Lynettea gets worried about me.

She keeps on saying "Come in Diamond. It is too hot for you out here." This morning she decided to drape a wet pillowslip over me to give me some cool shade. At the moment I am in the cool again to make this entry.
Tomorrow may be cooler. Please read my entry below on cat origins.

You are having a heatwave and I am expecting snow. I hope things cool off for you a little.

G'day Diamond, glad to see you keeping cool in the crazy weather we're having. We saw that you're having it even hotter that us. Remember not to work too hard,

Oh, this is a very special summer place for a heatwave!

Diamond, I know exactly what you mean. It has been super hot in Melbourne this week too. My mum never puts a wet pillowcase over me though! She is a bad mummy.

What a great idea Lynettea had, Diamond. You should be a little more grateful. My kitties are a bit like you; they seem to prefer to lie in the grass under the shade of a tree than be inside in the cool on very hot days. Sometimes though they just flake out on the bed and snooze right through the afternoon heat.
