This is Funi, up a tree. She is not trying to escape, just looking around.

Lynettea was at the Zoo, not me. I wouldn't like to live there, although Lynettea says they have meerkats. I am not a mere cat. I am Supercat Russian Diamond. Whenever Lynettea is out and can't see me I put on my supercat outfit and whoosh around supervising the fish. They are forced to hide under the waterlily leaves if they want privacy. Lynettea wonders why they are so timid about coming out.

But they all rush up to get their food. Even if I prowl around the edge of the pond they don't take much notice if they are concentrating on getting their food. Maybe they regard me as their Protector. I would like to think so.

I have concluded that meerkats are mythical creatures because there is NO such thing as a "mere" cat. I think it is something humans made up in an attempt to keep us kitties oppressed.

Funi! Oh I hope she & Wang Wang are doing well! Lucky you to have them so close! The Human keeps talking about going down to San Diego to see Bai Yun & her family, but she hasn't done it yet. She hopes you'll get a cub next year!

You are clearly very good at supervising and protecting, Diamond. We think you deserve extra treats for all your hard work.

Morning Diamond!!
AMEN none of us cats are mere cats!!! Very clever.
I like your approach with the fish!!! MOL Mom told me when they had their first cat, Milky-Way, they also had an aquarium. MW loved to watch the fish too.

Your weather is turning warm and ours is turning very cool. Enjoy your spring and summer.

Oh I would like to meet Funi and Wang Wang. Our Mummy and Daddy has not made it to the zoo yet, so they are planning to go when next they go to Adelaide!
Well said, Diamond - we are not mere cats!

Lynettea says I must tell you that you can see Funi and Wang Wang on the Internet from the cameras in their enclosures. Funi has recently been swapped to Wang Wangs enclosure and Wang Wang is in Funi's former enclosure. Funi loves climbing up the tree.

Oh we think the zoo is fine and all but we agree that we wouldn't want to live there.

And we think it is great you keep an eye on the fish - it is important to snoopervise!
