Does she really care for me?

I overheard a familiar voice on the phone last night. I remembered it from last year when I went to stay with 'Aunty Pam and my younger sister Katinka.' I sat there on the rug with my most mournful expression, but Lynettea didn't seem to notice. I wonder if she bothers about me at all!
I told her previously that I don't want to go to any cat holiday camps or cat holiday hotels.
I am on the alert now to see if she tries to get me into the cat carrier. Her suitcase is standing around and there are piles of assorted objects that look as if they are to be packed. No amount of her saying, 'You will be really well looked after, Diamond,' or, 'Well, I can't leave you alone here while I am away, Diamond,' will pacify me.
Maybe I should give her some sharp swipes with my paws so she can see I mean business this time. I don't mind staying here by myself as long as there is plenty of my special food left out for me.

Uh oh... Diamond, your Mum's going away?!
Quick, you should lay inside the suitcase and make it impossible for her to pack!

Dear Diamond,

I think she do care about you but she might have some reasons to put you to the hotel while she travel.
She didn't say anything, Doesn't mean she not care about you. Take it easy, Diamond...It might not too bad like you thought.
Eat till full then do lots of nap, when you wake will feel better

Ahhh Diamond, hopefully it won't be for too long. Maybe you will meet some other nice kitties to talk to whilst you are there? And I bet you mummy will bring you back a lovely present :)

Hmm... well, Diamond, we know this doesn't look good but maybe you can just sleep away the time when you are in the Kitteh holiday camp.

Poor Diamond, it is just as hard for us humans to leave you as it is for you to be left behind! I'm sure your mum will not be gone long and will miss you very much :-)

Our mom hires a pet sitter to come by and feed us, clean the litter boxes and keep us company - maybe your mom can do that too.

Somebody comes over and stays with us when the humans here are out of town. Sometimes I actually like her better than my human! But I guess we are fortunate.

Oh, sorry Diamond! We don't blame you for not liking cat holiday camps or hotels. We have someone come to our house to feed us if our mom has to go anywhere - still no fun cause we're left alone, but at least we can stay in our own territory. Purrs-

Poor Diamond. Don't you just hate it when the mom goes away. My SS just returned from Russia, yes, your ancestral place. And I had to stay with my uncle for a whole month.

O hai! :) I have to stay at a dog-sitter's house sometimes. It's not too bad. I get to play with the other dogs and cats that live there. I hope u are okay during Mom's trip. She'll be back soon. :)

Where is Lynettea headed off to, Diamond? We hate it when our mom and dad go away, too...
