I am waiting nervously to see what happens next. The case is packed, in spite of my efforts to hide inside and there is no room for me to get in. I tried sitting on the lid, but Lynettea didn't like that. She picked me straight off, so I spent a long time lying on the couch checking the case was still there.
I am recuperating on my mat in the sunshine outside when I can, trying to relax before the cat hotel lady comes. Lynettea says she will be in Japan (where is that? I don't like the sound of it.)
She says she will try to go to a cat cafe and take me some photos. I would prefer her to be here and I notice her itinerary does not mention a cat cafe. I wonder if the cats sit around sipping milkshakes.

So I won't be away too many years. Lynettea says, 'Don't be silly, Diamond.' She is fond of saying that. 'I won't be away long and you will hardly notice.'
As if I won't notice being in a cat hotel, away from all my usual comforts.

Poor Diamond. We hope Lynettea comes home very soon, so you won't have to stay very long in that cat hotel.

We have been to Japan before, and one thing is for sure ... the people like cats very much there, so it is probably safe to say they are pretty intelligent.

Humans! I cannot believe yours actually said you would "hardly notice" that she was away and you would be in a cat hotel! I mean, HELLO? Even a dumb cat like my roommate Boodie would sense something was seriously wrong. A bright cat like you knew something not-good was up days in advance.

Poor Diamond, I'm sorry you have to go to the cat hotel, but I'm sure your mum has checked it out and it will be nice! Hopefully your mum will be back before you know it :-)

Diamond we are sorry she is leaving and going to Japan - we have heard of those cat cafes and think that they sound fun, but we are with you and it is better when our moms stay home. But, we hope she has fun, and that you have a good time at the cat hotel (and we hope she brings you some fun treats from Japan!)

I feel for you, Diamond, I really do. That SS of mine takes off regularly and spent time away in unpronouncible places for work (and leisure).

Too bad you live so far away. Otherwise my SS would volunteer to come and look after you in you home and you wouldn't have to go away to a cat hotel. She went and fed and play with my late cousin, Marzepan, twice a day, whenever his folks went on holiday.

Hope your mom have a great trip. SS would love to go to Japan and visit a cat cafe too.

Oh Diamond! How DARE she go sooooo far away and not take you with her! Now, I am sure she will come home, but I think you should be very stern with her.

Oh dear Diamond!
I'm sure you will be ok, but that doesn't make it easier does it?
We're purring that your time will be good.
