Rushed to My Veterinary Surgeon

What a nasty surprise! Lynettea was feeling my neck when she discovered I had a wound. She rang up my Vet staff straight away and then phoned a taxi. Before you could say 'one thousand kittens' very quickly a few hundred times, we were in the taxi and speeding down the road to My Vet. My usual Veterinary Surgeon was busy, but I had an appointment with one of the others, who felt me all over and then jabbed me with a needle. It stung a bit, so I winced and cried out (not loudly, as I have to be stoic like a gentlecat). My weight has got less, so Lynettea says I will have to eat up or I will fade away to nothing.

Then we took another taxi back home. This taxi driver started to drive the wrong way, which worried me a bit, but Lynettea was very alert (for once) and told him to go the other way. He went the wrong way several times and as we got near my place Lynettea had to shout 'Stop. Stop', so we could get out. Maybe he couldn't hear too well.

It was good to be home again. I saw two dogs at the Vet. One was a small black spaniel type dog with short legs and flappy ears and the other was a giant pale cream labrador. Fortunately neither of them came near my personal transport module. Lynettea had put a towel over the top of it, but left a gap at the front so I could look out secretly.
I think I will go to bed now and have a rest.

Diamond, that sounds like a nasty adventure, especially for a repectible kittie. Purrrrring that you recover from your wound soonest.

PS, from Dad: Maybe I'm a cynic, but I suspect hearing wasn't that cabby's problem. Problems with honesty are more likely. Glad you caught him before he padded the bill too much.
