I had Lynettea's breakfast this morning, part of it anyway. She wasn't at all pleased. I thought she had left it there for me, although she usually makes a fuss if I leap on the food preparation area.

I had just managed to lick up all the soymilk on her weetbix when she noticed me. I was considering whether to start on the weetbix, but she snatched me off and didn't give me any praise for grooming myself quite thoroughly. Then she threw the weetbix in the bin.

That is very insulting.

A BIT OF grooming

Lynettea said she thinks I must be getting better, as I groomed my face with my pawsies after having my chicken for lunch a little while ago.

She still didn't want me 'interfering', as she calls it, with her food. I didn't like the wasabi much when it got on my tongue, as it was too hot. I don't think it can be good for her to eat food that hot. I reprimanded her with a few miaows, but she insisted on putting it on her sushi before she ate them. She bought some sushi on her way home from her Probus group. She must be feeling better too, as this is the first time she has been out for so long since she got ill.
She doesn't think I worry about her, but I was waiting at the door for her when she got home.  My plate was empty, as I had eaten all the chicken she left this morning. Now I will take a nice nap on the lounge.

Thank you, all my dear friends for your concern and well wishes. I think I have more special friends than Lynettea.

CHICKEN is good

I haven't thrown up on my new diet of fresh roast chicken. I have to keep an eye on the food bowl if I feel in the least hungry so Lynettea will get the idea to put some more chicken in it. I am only to have small quantities at a time.

She isn't up to much and certainly no walks of any length. I hope she is able to manage to get to the hot chicken shop on the corner of the street, which is not so far away. She even gets tired just sitting down. I get tired too, but I lie down, preferably somewhere a bit cosy. I think she should lie down more as it would be of more benefit. She needs to get well to go hunting in the SUPERMARKET FOREST. I certainly could not manage to push a trolley down the aisles and Lynettea says the counter staff might laugh at me if I was to take supplies to the counter. The world is a cruel place if people laugh at cats who are only trying to help.

And it is raining.

For Keisha

Lynettea says to tell you that she thinks you are really trying with your haiku, Keisha and thanks for putting them on the Haiku Bindii blog. You are encouraging the other poets to post their work.

But I also have to tell you that I went to the vet last night because of the throwing up and now have to be on a light diet of fresh roasted chicken. So Lynettea has to go out now and get it, although it is dark and may be raining. Perhaps she does care for me after all.

I think I am feeling better

But Lynettea is difficult to control. She is just as recatricant as always.

Lynettea says she is REALLY SORRY she left me. She is still unwell and had to get some different anti biotics, but I have been trying my best to nurse her and staying on her lap a lot of the time. I seem to have lost interest in doing much self grooming while away and have thrown up quite a lot of times (but not all the time) since getting home. Lynettea has to brush me more and keeps cuddling me. I am sleeping next to her again on the bed at night, as I need to  keep an eye on her now.

She says she will have to take me to the doctor if I keep throwing up. She isn't up to going out much, but I know she will do that if she has to.

I think the Neko (Japanese cats) tried hard to stop Lynettea coming, as her plane was delayed by a typhoon and she had to wait 12 hours in Sydney before leaving. That would have been a good time to reflect and return home.. but no.
I wasn't bothering too much, as I was enjoying chicken and other delicious treats in the Spare Room at the Cat Hotel. Several extra humans had been delegated to look after me and amuse me.
When I got home I took Lynettea in to see Orla. Orla was so excited she sprang up to give me a nose to nose sniff. I could tell she missed me while I was away.
Lynettea bought lots of cat stuff in Japan - cat towels, cat pottery etc etc. Why does she go away to do that when she can have the real thing here?
She got a cold too, so it's all cough cough cough. She obviously needs me to look after her. She had to ring Pam up straight away so I could be sent home at once to nurse her.

I am sitting watching the suitcase, although it is the middle of the night. Lynettea says we had both better get to bed, as we have a busy day tomorrow. I am waiting for the cat snatcher to appear and may try to avoid her.

Lynettea saw what I just pawed and said, 'Don't be silly, Diamond. Pam will look after you really well!'

If any Japanese cats (neko) are looking at this then please look out for Lynettea. She will probably be obvious as she is sure to lose her way somewhere.

The suitcase was on the lounge last night, so I couldn't sit in my usual spot and had to curl up at the other end. If I had been younger I would have jumped in and out of the suitcase preventing Lynettea from packing, but now I am older I am just waiting and looking.
I heard Lynettea ring up the proprietor of the cat hotel (recognized the voice). The cat hotel lady said she had already bought some chicken for me and the supermarket was just over the road. I will go into the Spare Room again and will be taking my brush, medicines and special food. I think she is coming to get me tomorrow morning. Not looking forward to it.
Lynettea is going away too. Without me to look out for her she might not manage too well.
I will try to look at my blog in the morning, but won't be back posting for a while after that.
