Where is my dinner?

I am waiting for my friend Lynettea to sprinkle some food. Dawn says that the Food Bearer is not too reliable on time and he just patiently floats, floats, floats. He drifted in the sunshine at the bottom of the pond today. Yesterday evening we had The Pond Change of Water, which is a big event for us. We sink down as the water gets lower and when the fresh water comes in very slowly we adjust to it. It is hot again today, as it is summer.
Dawn says we are lucky to be in our cool water under the shade of the waterlilies. The earth plants are drying out. Lynettea carries water to them and also puts more water in The Pond nearly every day.
