We saved the Norwood Cork Tree

The Norwood Cork Tree is now officially saved. The Development Assessment Panel tonight decided not to approve the Coles application.
Lynettea was there waving her poster. Thank goodness she didn't wear one of the silly tree balloon hats provided by the Transport Workers Union. Why does she have to be in the thick of these things and neglecting me?
I have supported the movement on my blog, but haven't been able to make any personal entries for a long time. Lynettea has been standing in the street collecting signatures and rushing around putting leaflets in letterboxes and doing lots of emailing.
I am glad the cork tree is safe. Until Coles puts in another application. We hope they do not threaten the cork tree again. I am hoping it does not come to Lynettea chaining herself to a tree and neglecting me.
Lynettea isn't in the photo below, as she took it.

WELL I HOPE IT IS BACK TO OUR USUAL ROUTINE NOW

UNLESS COLES APPEALS THE DECISION

Hurrah! Job well done! It is a treasure. Now let's just hope they don't appeal or worse yet, injure or poison the tree causing it to die.
