Supermoon viewing notice

Lynettea just reminded me to give advance notice of the supermoon.
This August full moon will be the biggest for 2014.
The moon will be  only 356,896 km away from the Earth (perigee).
This will happen on 10 August and in Australia, where I am, in the very early hours of 11 August. So if you want to persuade your human to go outside with you here are the times:
Adelaide South Australia:  3:40 am on 11 August.
In Africa: around sunset on 10 August.
Asia: around midnight 10 August.
Americas: 2:09 pm EDT, 11:09 am PDT On 10 August.
THIS WILL BE THE BIGGEST MOON FOR 2014!
I am not too sure if Lynettea will let me stay up so late.

Thank you for reminding us about the supermoon, Sasha! We will try to stay up to see it, but it is way past our bedtime.

Is the moon made out of candy?

sorry Lynettea made a mistake. It is 2:09 pm EDT in USA, not 2:09 am, as we had. Lynettea has now corrected it after a severe reprimand.
We will probably be able to see the Supermoon since it happens at midnight here. :)
