TRAINING the Human for walkies

Once the human has managed to get the harness onto you, not always an easy task, she can try to attach the leash. My human has the leash already attached to the harness, so she only has to accomplish one task. My harness is a special cat type harness, as dog type harnesses are easy to wriggle out of if you are a cat. We are more flexible than dogs in many ways. We also know our own minds better.
Lynettea only manages to put my harness on when I want her to do so. She seems to have to get me to adopt a certain position near the gate, otherwise it is all too difficult for her. She is not very flexible.
Once we are out ,she relies on me to take the lead. Sometimes we look at dogs when they are out for a walk with their human and it is obvious that they do not control their human very well.

when I am out, I like to look in

Spring is here: wattle in bloom

So far, I've only been wearing my harness for a while every day. I don't mind wearing it. She is going to start attaching my leash onto it today - we'll see how well she does with that. If I approve, we can go onto the next step.

you are so clever, Summer, that you will get used to the leash straight away. Lynettea had me outside in only a couple of days. It was the big sky that was scary. My legs kept buckling to the ground. Now, of course,it doesn't worry me. Training Lynettea not to tangle the lead and to be ready when I want to jump took a bit longer.

Sasha você está fazendo um ótimo trabalho com sua humana. Acho que a primavera resolveu chegar um pouco mais cedo esse ano, nossas árvores estão brotando para dar muitas frutas.

You are doing a fine job of training your hoomin. It's tiring work, but worth it.

Training your human for walkies sounds so complex, Sasha. Mostly because of the limitations that they have. It seems as though you are doing a fine job with Lynettea!
