will I go out?

It looks cold, damp and gloomy. I am resting on the newspaper near Lynettea.  She says two of her friends are coming this afternoon, so she will have to tidy. It looks okay to me already. Why waste time making things into fewer piles? They all have to be unpiled later anyway. The way they are spread out makes sense, as you can see them all and find what you want by picking up fewer things. Once the newspapers go into the recycle bin I won't be able to sit on them any more.
Just a slight paw scratch to the ear to reprimand her for not patting me, then I go to the food bowl.
Gravy style. You know I prefer jelly style.
I will go and look out the front window. Here I am at the window.
Will I go out?

walk in the rain

Today Lynettea forced me to go out in the rain. I ran in, but she made me go out again. The rain was very fine and I don't think she could see it at first.
I jumped on the bins and then onto the windowsill, where I was sheltered. She then started to feel the fine spray coming down on her, making her clothes damp.
'It's raining, Sasha! '
Well I knew that...
'We have to go in.'
'I was just getting comfortable on this ledge. I might do some grooming while I am here.'
'We have to go in, Sasha.'
So I had to jump down and go in.
Lynettea made a great fuss wiping my coat to make sure it was dry.
And then I fell asleep on the sofa, where it was warm and I felt cosy.

my thick winter furs

Lynettea took  a  photo  of  my  furs.  She  says  they  are  more  fluffy  and thick  because  it  is  cooler  now. But that  doesn't  mean  anyone  can  pat  them  just  because  they  feel  like  it. Lynettea's  friend  who  is  too  keen  to  pat  me  was  here  today. This  time  I  let  her  look  at  me  instead  of  hiding  under  the  bed.  I  prefer  to  have  my  own  space  unless  I  know  people  well.

I refused to take Lynettea for her walkies just now and she was very disappointed. Was I  wrong? I  think  she  takes  me  for  granted. She  must  learn  that  I  can  not  always  be  at her  beck  and  call. I  have  my  own  wishes  to  consider. If  she  had  been  ready  to  go  earlier  when  I  asked  her..
But  no,  she  wanted  to  do  her  own  thing  and  kept  me  hanging  around. Now  I  would  like  to  enjoy  my  rest  in  the  warmth  high  up  in  my  cat  park,  so  she  will  have  to  wait  until  I  offer  again.

keep one ear alert

It is always  a  good  idea  to  listen  for  anything  that  might  sneak  up  to  disturb  your  well  earned  nap. Even  in  your  own  cosy  and  in  your  private  secluded  courtyard. I  had  one  ear  folded  over  as  I  slept  today. Napping  in  my  own  place  while  Lynettea  was  out  at  an  unimportant  meeting  was  so  soothing.  The  sound  of  the  Dragon  fountain  guarding  the  fishpond  quickly  sent  me  into  a  beautiful  dream. Then Lynettea came home. She doesn't give me any peace . There she was, snapping  away until  she  woke  me  up.

Good morning sunshine

First  things  first. A good sit  on  the  windowsill  and  a  good  stretch.  I  have  found  a  warm  breeze  flows  down  here  from  the  heater  to  take  off  the  early  morning  chill  for  a  little  while .

We had a nasty scam phone call yesterday. Lynettea has just rung the police about it and they told her these people were ringing many others and trying to frighten them into giving money to the fraudsters.
The man rang and said he was from the taxation office and they had found that Lynettea had defrauded the tax department. When he said that, Lynettea didn't reply. She knew she hadn't defrauded anybody. Then the man said he wanted her dealt with and put behind bars. Lynettea kept silent.
So then he said, 'Constable Mark, go around to' .. and then he started to give our address, at which point Lynettea hung up the phone.
The police told Lynettea that these people are making many of these  phone calls and demanding money.
'If you get one of these calls, just hang up and don't give them any money,' the policeman told Lynettea.
I feel relieved as I thought they might take me away, if Lynettea refused to go. I would be easier to pick up, because I am smaller.
Lynettea: 'Don't worry, Sasha. No-one is coming to get you.'

A thoughtful mood

Another cold day with gloomy clouds looming overhead. I might stay inside.
I am wondering what to do. Notice my beautiful green eyes.
Perhaps I could help with the vacuum cleaning. But that is so rushy. Perhaps not.

Perhaps I could read a book?
But perhaps not. I might find a quiet corner to lie down and go to sleep.

reflections on my trip to my Vet

Lynettea managed to take some photos of my trip to my Vet.

here I am waiting on the front porch for the taxi. I can't see the taxi from inside my personal transport module, so Lynettea has to keep a lookout for me.

This is not a very good photo. The cats in the picture on the wall are blurred. It is the only photo I have of my experience in the waiting room at My Vet. Lynettea deliberately sat here, as the other walls had DOG photos, which she did not consider appropriate. Also the room was too full of DOGS and there were no cats at all. Most of the dogs were large and I had to stay in hiding. After we had seen  My Vet and we were waiting for the taxi, a couple of small noisy DOGS came in leading their human. Lynettea lifted up the blanket a little so I could see them. Proving how silly DOGS can be, one of them ran around the leg of the bench and tied himself up.

Back home, I decide to check out the place next door, from my shelf. Nothing much going on there.
No-one is coming, are they? I have had enough excitement for today.

top of the class

I scored well in my exam. In fact I  was top  of  the  class . Lynettea says that doesn't count  because  I  was  the  only  one  in  the  class . My Vet let me hide under the blankie part of the time. I  didn't  think he  should  have  laughed, though.
I am now 4.7 kilos and have an excellent coat of furs.
We had a nasty ride in the taxi to the Veterinary Surgery. The taxi driver kept telling Lynette she would have to wipe the seat with a cloth after my carrier was on it. The carrier was perfectly clean.
Then he tried to make Lynettea climb out with the carrier into the traffic. She told him the seat was already clean and climbed out onto the footpath, where  it  was  safe  for  her.
This is me singing.

I don't like it

My exam is coming up in 50 minutes. I hope Lynettea gets me there in time. She has to get me into the carrier and she is not good when I resist.
The game begins.

Gnaw the Wrist

After she locked me in the wardrobe by accident, she gave me lots of cuddles before she went to bed. When she stopped I gave her wrist a gnaw with my sharp teethies.
'Don't do that, Sasha,' she said.
Why not?
I didn't leave any teeth marks.

In the Wardrobe

She didn't see me spring inside the wardrobe.
'Oh, Sasha, there you are! No wonder it was so quiet. I thought you were outside.'
How would I be outside? It is cold, rainy and dark.
'When I looked through the window I couldn't see you in your cosy or up in the air on your shelves."
Of course not. Why would I want to freeze?
'I thought you might be curled up in your cosy on the lounge. But when I looked there you were not there!'
I wish I had been. I didn't want to stay on top of the suitcase in the wardrobe. Where I couldn't see anything and wondered when the door would open.
'Why didn't you miaouw, if you wanted to come out, Sasha?'
'Miaow! Miaouw! Miaouw! Miaouw! - I was meditating'.

'I am sorry, Sasha. I didn't notice. Here is a fresh bowl of your jelly instinctive cat food. Your favourite!'
in my rightful place

end of the year exam

I thought end of the year exams must be in December, but Lynettea says My Exam is on Thursday. I am not sure how much I have to study, as I can't remember what I did last year. Lynettea says not to worry as the Vet will know what to examine and I just have to stand quietly on the bench. I don't like the sound of that!!!!
The Vet sent a special letter addressed to Sasha, so you can see he doesn't trust Lynettea either.
We have an appointment on Thursday.
Lynettea says I am not to worry or get stressed. She finds it stressful getting me into the pet carrier and then she gets nervous the taxi driver will go too fast and tumble the carrier over.
It is all worry worry around here.
I think I will concentrate on some meditation. The sound of the fountain will calm me...
