Sasha the Protector
I am trying to protect our crops. I know I don't eat them, but they are food for Lynettea. She came out with me on her lead around dark yesterday and tried to prevent me from hunting. She told me not to worry, as there were no rats.
Then she shook the vine where it arches over the path and a rat sprang out and ran along the fence rail. If I hadn't had a clumsy human to manage on her lead I might have been able to seize it.
It dashed off, but today there were bite marks on the grapes. The birds also peck them during the day. I am at my wits end, dashing from window to window when I am awake. Of course I need to rest.
Here are some of the grapes. They are not fully ripe, but Lynettea has picked them to save them from the rat teeth overnight.
