a game?

'You had a good game, Sasha!'
'What game?'
'When you were chasing the  little  dot  of  light  that  was  running  over  the  wall.'
'Was that a game? I was protecting the house!!'
'Oh thank you Sasha. I was afraid the little dot monsters might break through and do some damage to us. Your clever cat paws drove them off!'
'And why were you waving your arms around in the air? Were you trying to weave a magic spell?'
'I was just trying to urge you on, Sasha. You were such a noble warrior jabbing at the dot monsters and chasing  them across  the wall.'

I had a funny feeling after this conversation that I was missing out on something. But to concentrate  on more important things, the sun will be setting soon. We need to go for walkies. And where  is my dinner?

Strategies

I learn some of my best strategies from the TV, although Lynettea says I am a lot smarter than they are.

Indian Summer

But we are still in Adelaide and it is so warm!
Here I am relaxing in my outdoor play area in the sunshine. I am stretched out on my bus seat. It is a bus seat that thankfully retired to our place  many  years  ago .

Sometimes on the bed

Sometimes I sleep on the bed for a while during the night. Lynettea said she is trying to leave the bedroom door open to see if I am mature enough to let her get a good sleep. This is handy, as I can wake her up if I feel like a game during the night, or if it is time to get up and I need my morning snacks.
She is not very cooperative.
Humans sleep at the wrong time.
Sometimes she shuts the door after she gets up and staggers around for a while.
She seems very sluggish at night and I worry about her.
Once I slept at the bottom of the bed in the early morning and she was surprised when she woke up and found me there. I was quietly grooming myself and enjoying the peace and quiet.

Rat nibbled

Lynettea just brought in a quince that had fallen from the tree. I sniffed at it and discovered it was nibbled by a rat. I wonder if she knows this? She has cooked some of the quinces.

Pawprints

'Are they muddy pawprints on the tiles in the laundry, Sasha?'
'Some of them look like muddy shoe prints. Do you want me to help you mop them up? I could hop on the mop to stop it wetting the walls. Or I could  guard the clean parts of the floor so they stay dry. I am good at that.'
'Sigh . . .'
Or I could check out the food you are cooking. I love to do that. I could taste it to see if it is tasty to eat.'
'Sigh . . .'
'Or I could . . .'
'Okay. You win, Sasha. We can go out for walkies.'

worlds of haiku but no cats

Lynettea asked me to put a notice on my blog about a world haiku collaboration.
There aren't any cats in it yet, unless I can think of something to write about cats before it closes. Poets from across the world are writing haiku all day on 17 March for International Haiku Day.
It is the largest collaborative haiku in the world. Lynettea was busy thinking of her haiku and told me there were no cats involved. I wonder if Diamond wrote any foodcrop haiku, as I could put them on.

When I put my little pawsies up

When I put my little pawsies up to Lynettea, she says: 'I am too busy, Sasha'.
What am I to think?
I know she is working too hard.
I have to remind her when it is time for me to eat and when it is time for her to go with me on her walkies and when it is time for us to have a game on the artificial lawn and when it is time for her to cuddle me and when it is time for her to go to bed.
I also have to remind her when it is time for her to get up. She doesn't want to get up at 5 o'clock in the morning, she says, and shuts me out of the bedroom.
I hope things improve soon. You will notice she hasn't been helping me with my posts either. I don't even have any pictures.

Helping

I help Lynettea in the bathroom.
When she has a shower, I  pull the towel down for her and sometimes sit on it to warm it up. I ruffle up the bathmat, as flat on the floor things are boring, unless played with, and I check out the shower to make sure that everything is in order before and after.
I wriggle around and swat at the glass shower screen when she wipes it. She thinks that is very funny, but I  don't mind, even if she laughs. I just wriggle and swat some more.
Sometimes I also dash in and out of the bathroom in case the water escapes.
Lynettea says it can't escape.

Unbirthday

I was just wondering if I have an unbirthday coming up soon, so I could receive more gifts.
