Dinner

Actually, I was rather hoping it would be jelly style, not gravy.

A rest while going walkies

This is me taking a rest break on the gas meter on the front porch before I take my human charge for a short walkies in the street.
I have some more photos to post later.

Proper photos not snapshots, please!

My photo has just been through a Lightroom app tutorial.
Now you can see my face!
Lynettea says she doesn't know if she has the time to do this with every photo.

What next?

What next?

I found a piece of bone

After many days of hardly going outside at all, today I walked up and down the street outside my place. Lynettea was missing her walkies so much that the day before she picked me up and carried me down to the side gate. This seemed to break the spell and I decided we could go out, rather than take a few steps and return inside again.
I took her boldly through the front gate and down the footpath.
Then I found something so interesting I had to stand and inspect it. And keep on standing. Then toss it around a bit.
Lynettea just stood there. Then she said, 'What is that, Sasha. Ugh! A piece of bone. You can't have that. Where has it come from. We have to go in.'
So that was the end of walkies.

Me at work

I am tired of Lynettea posting pictures of me in my cosy, so I asked her to take some photos of me at work.
This is how I spend my nights: guarding the house.
I think she should be grateful!

Using my new space

I got this new scratching pole weeks ago, but I don't use it. Sometimes Lynettea scratches it with her nails and says, 'Come on, Sasha,' staring at me.
I wonder why she does that. She doesn't have claws, poor thing and looks silly. Maybe she is hoping if she tries hard enough her nails will harden and become useful.
Slash! Slash!
Today I just decided to go into the cosy at the base for a minute. It isn't really comfortable. On the whole, I can't recommend this design.

Snoopervise

This bear is trying to snoopervise me.
But I won't be intimidated.

Night duty

I don't need bear looking after me!
I throw him on the floor because I need to go on night duty.

Bear has to look after me

Lynettea says bear has to look after me all night. She says she is worried about me because I am being very quiet and threw up some food.
I had a good massage and sat looking at my toys.
Then I went back to my cosy.
I would only take her for one minute's walk and came in again.
I don't feel ready for bear to supervise me.
He is just sitting looking at me.

Decluttering

Today I was really helpful to Lynettea. I don't want to boast, but I helped her declutter part of my bedroom. She calls it the loungeroom.
We still haven't quite finished.
It was exciting seeing my old toys reappear from boxes. She tried to entertain

me with some of the boring toys I had when I was only a kitten. She should have realized by now that electric mouse with flashing blue eyes is no longer amusing. And as for the fur mouse on a stick. YAWN.
After helping her toss out unused items ready to take to the charity shop, I rewarded her for tidying my room by warming up the bathmat.
'It's a bit early for my shower, Sasha,' she said, 'but thank you for being such a gorgeous kitty.'

I don't spare myself

Even though it is just the beginning of night patrol, I don't spare myself. As soon as I get a chance to get into the bathroom, I pull down the towels ready for her to use.
No wonder she thinks of me as her helper!
'You are my precious cat, Sasha,' she says.
Here I am at the front window.

At last, some appreciation!

This morning I was surprised by Lynettea telling me how much she appreciated me looking after the house.
She can see me on alert at the windows when she gets up during the night.
'I can see how much you need your sleep during the day,  Sasha,' she said. 'You are my little warrior and guardian cat!'
My name Alexander means 'protector. Sometimes people get the wrong idea when I am called Sasha.

Watching TV Together

We are watching the Budget on TV and Lynettea is worrying that she might have to cut costs further. Retired people seem to come bottom of the heap.
What about cat food, I think. We aren't going to cut that?
'You and the fish are my priority,' she says.
Well that is a relief.
Suddenly I feel like grooming all over.
