Under the bed Day

An SA Water person knocked on the
door, so I went under the bed. He told Lynettea she had water spouting from her meter, according to his report.
But there was no water spouting.
'There is water leaking on the road,' said Lynettea. 'I reported that many times. It has been running down the gutter for two and a half months.'
The SA Water person didn't know about that, but he decided to replace the meter anyway, as he thought Lynettea might not be paying enough for her water flowing from the damaged pipe in the road.
He said he would escalate the road repair.
Lynettea rang SA Water again and they looked up the road leak. But once again, they couldn't say when it would be repaired.
We are frightened it will burst into a waterspout.
The construction company that dug up the asphalt and put down new asphalt broke the pipe. They just smoothed new asphalt over the top. So it has to be dug up. And a few days ago someone put new line markings on the side of the road. That will be dug up, too. No one cares. It looks neat now the road is new, except for the water trickling from the center. I inspected it yesterday. Very smart.

And we now have our own little rivulet, I thought. I could drink from that when I take her for her walkies.

But Lynettea is not happy.

What a coil!
Here's hoping that between your visitor and your mom's calls, someone will get off of their rump and get that fix going!
We have a somewhat similar issue on a street nearby; there is always water standing in the road, which means a leak. But no city official ever does anything about it!
