Guard Duty

It is warmer today and sunny. So I have lounged about in the open air for a while. Day duty is different from night duty.

 The birds are quiet at night  but possums sometimes visit, especially when there is any fruit on the tree or the vines. They ate all the quinces this year.

 But it is winter now. Sometimes birds scuttle about on the roof. They can't get in here to annoy me.

But so far it us quiet and peaceful.
