An Award for ME ME ME

Karen from Kitty Limericks has given me this award.

Lynettea is not sure if I fit the qualities for this award, but I do. I am extremely un-interested in self aggrandizement. (what does that mean exactly). Anyway I am not at all interested in it. I am mainly interested in food, patting, entertainment and sleeping. Not in that exact order. And of course in spreading goodwill to all kitties who don't want to take over my house and garden.

I need to pass on this award to eight charming kitties.
Here are the rules:"This blog invests and believes the PROXIMITY - nearness in space, time and relationships! These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in prizes or self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers! Deliver this award to eight kitties who must choose eight more and include this cleverly-written text into the body of their award.
I give this award to:

Gypsy and Tasha
Cheysuli and Gemini
Keisha the Spaniel (not a cat)
Adan and Lego
and every other cat who is my friend. I can only put eight names down and I tried to find cats who had not yet received the award.

my silhouette

Here I am occupying myself while waiting for Lynettea to turn on the computer. You can see my silhouette on the wall as I keep watch on the street. I need to keep on the alert, as I am responsible for guarding the house.
If I am not responsible for guarding it, then I don't know who is, as Lynettea doesn't take this task seriously. She is always letting suspicious looking 'friends' through the front door.
I have to supervise them carefully and if necessary 'squash' them by sitting on their laps. I find this a very successful approach. If they don't want furs on them then why do they come inside. That is what I say.

A BIG Kitty Cooling Off

Lynettea took this picture of the TIGER cooling off at Adelaide Zoo during the heatwave last week. She had never seen the TIGER going into the water before, but it was a very hot day.
If you click on the picture it will biggify and look more terrifying. If you are a human, that is. Perhaps you kitty visitors will need to supervise your humans if they look at these photos, just in case they get frightened. TIGERS don't frighten me. I would just hiss or run inside and get under the bed. Taking a few precautions is always sensible.
In the second picture the TIGER is leaving the water. The tiger has a big enclosure like a jungle and a diving pool with special heated rocks. The water flows over a waterfall into a big moat.
It is a bit cooler here now and more refreshing.
I don't like heat waves!

Please purr a lot for all the people in Victoria affected by the bushfires.
Purrrrr! Purrrrr! Purrrrr! Purrrrr!

Coping in the heatwave

I am finding ways to keep cool in this heatwave. Adelaide is the hottest city.

S-p-r-a-w-l-e-d on the tiled floor is a bit cooler. If I didn't have that annoying camera flashed in my eyes, that is.

SHUT EYES and I will think of something nice.

Maybe I will help Lynettea read her book for book club. It is supposed to be about someone standing in a field of rye, I think. It isn't very interesting though, as there are absolutely no cats in it whatever. All the hero thinks about is me me me me me. I can relate to that.

Maybe he will be born in his next lifetime as a cat. Probably as a cat in a luxurious home that has nothing to do except complain. MIAOUWWWWW! Lynettea thinks I am being too harsh and she can find deeper existential meanings in the book.
HARSH? I meant it as praise.
