Now it is 2024
Happy New Year to all my friends and visitors.
2023 seemed to rush past, full of world disasters. But it was peaceful here, and I spent many hours napping and regaining my strength after looking after Lynettea and taking the pets on excursions. I wonder what 2024 will bring for us.
We had a small party while waiting for midnight. We watched the fireworks in Sydney on TV, which started here at 11.30 because of the different time zones, so we could get in the mood before the midnight chimes. The virtual cake looks strange with the candles going on and off. None of us, except Lynettea, eats chocolate, and she didn't fancy having a slice. She said the candles symbolised the death of the old year and the beginning of a new year.
Then finally we were in 2024 with a splash of colour.
