All quiet today

After all the excitement of THE GREAT ESCAPE I have had a quiet couple of days. Since it was pleasant sunny weather I took Lynettea out for her walk and supervised her while she did her favourite garden pastimes of snipping things and weeding things. (Yes, you are right there is a cruel streak there ... thank goodness it is not directed at me).

This morning after her outdoor expedition she spent some time reading The Narrow Road to the Interior (which is not about our hallway) at the table in my enclosure. I lay on the table too, with a couple of my carpet pieces to protect my sensitive body from the wood.

It is nice out there, with only a few popping noises from my goldfish to disturb the silence. I might even feel a haiku coming on as I sink into a dream.

Our mom has been doing the garden thing too. Been very warm here for this time of year. Happy napping.

That sounds very nice, Diamond. It's impawtant to do things with your hoomin, so they remain socialized and tranquil.

Greetings Diamond,

Well we would have to agree that it was a quiet week and spending time supervising Lynettea in the garden. I did the same this weekend and its a lot of fun making sure humans do their assignemnts just right.

Wishing you all a great start to the week,
Miss Kitty and Egmont

Your great escape sounded like a great adventure to me, Diamond. I like to climb over the back fence too!

Ooh, a haiku? We can hardly wait to read it, Diamond! We will be quiet, so as not to interrupt your haiku-inspiring slumber...

Hi Diamond...
Indeed it is time to rest after all your excitement. I don't do much gardening but I do enjoy watching the birds in our bird bath and our feeders. My inside cat tree is the purrfect perch.

Happy Wednesday or is it already Thursday for you?
Madi

Hi there Diamond! We came across your blog from Huffle. Our crazy lady once had a Russian Blue when she was little (like a hundred years ago cause she is old...mol)

Glad to see you have got your human on her toes too!

Hi Diamond! I am 'a bit' late for your birthday. Blame it on my SS who has only just come home from Siberia. Hope you had an enjoyable one.

A haiku? Woweee, can't wait to read it. Do share!

Do you know what? My Human and her friend were walking on the Embarcadero along the Bay today and they noticed that there are HAIKUS in the sidewalk, carved into metal strips. I mean, how crazy are the Humans anyway?
